Letter to my future daughter

You see, my dear baby girl, one thing I can tell you is, “you can’t fully control who you fall in love with.”

Dear future daughter,
I can’t really give you all the advice about relationships because I’m still trying to figure it out myself. I don’t know if you’ll love men or eventually wish you were born a man.
Love is a very personal and individualized experience. One thing I can tell you is "you can’t fully control who you fall in love with". Here are some useful tips that you may consider

You are enough

Believing you are enough means remembering that nothing in you needs to change to be loved. Anyone who tries to convince you otherwise isn't right for you, and someone who doesn't see your worth hasn't earned a place in your life.

Be the envy, not the envier

Don’t aim to be someone else because you think they have a perfect relationship. That is just going to make you feel like you’re not good enough. You can’t find yourself in other people. Admire people but don’t try to be somebody you are never going to be.

You need to trust your significant other, the strength of the relationship and yourself. Remember you are born with good instincts. That self-confidence will set you up for healthy relationships. So always listen to your gut and it will show you the path to go down even when you’re scared and confused. That applies to creepy first dates and beyond.

If you test someone, he may fail you

Testing is a sign of one's own fear and insecurity. Opening up to the nuances of sharing your life with someone is scary but remember that's also what makes love rewarding.

Lonely times

Know what it’s like to be completely alone and reliant only on yourself. Most of the time, these moments will come unintentionally. They will be nerve-racking and frightening. But when you make it through these moments, you will gain the confidence to know you can survive other similar experiences.

Grow up

At least, prepare yourself to grow up. It doesn’t happen overnight but know that I’m going to kick you out of the house one day and if you’re not ready by then, it’s going to be tough. Don’t worry; I’ll let you know beforehand because I love you.

God’s Direction

Commit your ways to God and he’ll guide you through difficult times.
Endless Love from Papa.
